NAVY is the NEW BLACK!0

Too much black in your wardrobe? We’ve heard this often: “If I bring home one more piece of black clothing, my husband or daughter will kill me!” Well, we have another prominent colour choice to suggest: NAVY BLUE!

Brands have made black the dominant wardrobe colour for years because of its versatility. Let’s face it, basic black bottoms are essential travel and work wear, and flattering as well. Navy blue is the perfect replacement though!

Fashion designers have listened and all of our brands have put navy front and centre in their spring collections. Since we have already bought our fall 2018 pieces for next season, we can tell you that it’s here to stay!

Navy is just as versatile as black and just like black, it makes you look thinner because it is a receding colour, which minimizes. Other slimming colours include dark brown and grey, but navy is more universal because it complements all skin tones.

This winning fashion colour is excellent in professional settings and is quoted as the #1 power colour for business wear. It works well to project strength and lift your confidence. It’s a must for your work wardrobe.

Navy blue is an excellent alternative to black, especially if you find black too harsh. If black washes you out, go with navy tops instead for a flattering look.

If you’re still not convinced that navy is for you, remember that navy exists in almost every closet in the form of denim! Dark navy denim goes with everything and gives you an elevated look without resorting to black. You can even wear dark denim in the evening and still look chic.

We tend to have every wardrobe piece in navy including capris, pants, and jackets, plus complementary pieces to suit your navy choices. Hot pinks, reds, lime green and white all look fantastic with navy. Whether using navy in a casual, travel, or evening outfit, it’s a winner!
